i was actually just diagnosed about 4 days ago. i fainted, and was taken to the ER. Admitted to the hospital for 3 days for observation and they diagnosed me.
both my parents and 3/4 of my grandparents have type 2. as do i now unfortunately. struggling with my weight for so long, i knew this was coming, but of course wasn't hoping for it.
being in the hospital really changed my perspective and motivated me to lose weight. but its so hard. so so hard.
i was put on a strict low-carb diet. 1600-1800 calories a day. 3 meals, 2 snacks. each meal should be under 60g of carbs and snack 15-30g.
can someone give me their best weight loss tips? anyone? i could use all the advice i can get!
or help me compile a shopping list for my mom of low carb foods because i am uneducated on what is really good for you.
i know 17 is a young age to be diagnosed with type 2, but i'm planning on losing an extreme amount of weight and accepting and living with it.
